Abhishek Bhardwaj
Official Role
Member of Technical Staff, RL & Agent Infrastructure at OpenAI.
Official Bio
Abhishek Bhardwaj works on OpenAI's RL and agent infrastructure layer, with a focus on the sandbox systems that let coding and computer-use agents execute real processes in repeatable, isolated environments. His World's Fair sessions, “From fork() to Fleet: Designing an Agent Sandbox Cloud,” place him in the Sandbox & Platform Engineering track and frame agent infrastructure as a fleet-scale systems problem: agents need secure cloud sandboxes that can support training, evaluation, and deployment workloads without losing isolation, reproducibility, or operational control. Before OpenAI, he created Arrakis, an open-source sandbox for AI agents, worked on ChromeOS and foundational microVM technologies at Google, and contributed to core infrastructure and early versions of Replit Agent at Replit.
